I recently came across a somewhat humorous twist on serenity prayer for dealing with other people, which caused me to smile:

Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change,
The courage to change the one I can,
And the wisdom to know it’s me!

It was a huge turning point in my life, a few years back, when I realized I had the categories of what I could and couldn't change pretty much exactly backwards. Can't change others, can't even change myself (in the moment), can choose what company I keep and how I respond to what I can't change. Much serenity ensued! I love this prayer, too.
